Air India appoints Sanjay Sharma as its Chief Financial Officer
Air India has announced the appointment of Sanjay Sharma as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective June 10th, 2024. Reporting to Campbell Wilson, the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sharma steps into the role as Vinod Hejmadi retires after three decades of service.
Sanjay Sharma brings over thirty years of extensive experience in the fields of real estate, investment banking, and corporate finance to his new role. Prior to joining Air India, Sharma served as the CFO of Tata Projects Limited. His illustrious career also includes significant roles at Deutsche Bank Group, where he was the Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets, and at Tata Realty Infrastructure Limited, where he served as CFO.
Sharma's vast expertise is further highlighted by his tenure at Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific and DSP Merrill Lynch Limited in Mumbai, where he held various key positions. His comprehensive background and proven leadership in financial management are expected to significantly contribute to the strategic and financial growth of Air India.
