With over a decade of experience in marketing and growth strategy, Nilay brings a strong track record in brand building, go-to-market execution, and digital growth initiatives.
Before joining Ionic Wealth, he served as Director of Marketing at Upstox from April 2022 to August 2025. During this tenure, he played a pivotal role in driving integrated marketing across SEO, ASO, and YSO, significantly scaling organic growth. He led high-impact brand and product campaigns, content and video strategy, social and community programs, and full-funnel GTM execution across marquee platforms like the IPL and World Cup. Nilay also spearheaded multiple growth initiatives from 0→1 and 10→100, with UpLearn and UpNews emerging as notable successes, while managing a 25+ member team.
Prior to this role, he was General Manager, Brand & Marketing at Upstox (Oct 2020 – Apr 2022). He also gained valuable experience at ByteDance as Senior Marketing Manager, where he worked on go-to-market strategies for the Indian market.
Earlier in his career, Nilay contributed to marketing and brand strategy at WPP (Maxus Global, GroupM) for clients like Tata Sky, RedBull, and Viacom India. He began his professional journey with Accenture, specializing in media audits, marketing procurement, and global account management.
