Reliance Matrix Appoints James Huebner as Vice President of Client Management to Lead CX Strategy

Reliance Matrix, a leading provider of employee benefits and absence management solutions, has announced the promotion of James Huebner to Vice President of Client Management. In his expanded role, Huebner will lead the organization’s enterprise-wide customer experience (CX) agenda, with a mandate to drive innovation, consistency, and service excellence across its national service and account management teams.

Overseeing a workforce of more than 150 professionals across the country, Huebner will concentrate on deepening client relationships, elevating satisfaction levels, and improving long-term retention through a more integrated and client-focused service model. The appointment reflects Reliance Matrix’s continued investment in building a differentiated, customer-centric experience for brokers, employers, and employees.

Commenting on the promotion, Todd Elliott, Senior Vice President and Chief Distribution Officer, highlighted Huebner’s impact on the organization, noting that his deep institutional knowledge and unwavering focus on service quality position him well to further advance the company’s CX strategy and deliver meaningful value to all stakeholders.

Huebner’s association with Reliance Matrix spans more than two decades. He began his career with the company in 2001 as a Senior Sales Representative in New York City, departed in 2008, and rejoined in 2015 as Disability and Absence Practice Leader for the Northeast US region. His contributions have been recognized through his inclusion in the Reliance Matrix President’s Panel and the global Tokio Marine award for values-driven performance.

Elliott added that Huebner brings extensive consultative experience, a strong track record in addressing complex client needs, and a leadership style centered on collaboration and trust. As the industry continues to evolve toward greater speed and automation, Huebner has consistently championed human connection, accountability, and relationship-led engagement as core differentiators for Reliance Matrix.
