Levi Strauss Partners with Microsoft to Build Advanced Agentic AI “Super-Agent

Levi Strauss & Co. has announced a strategic collaboration with Microsoft to create a unified agentic AI platform aimed at transforming operations and elevating both retail and digital customer experiences.

At the core of this initiative is a centralized “super-agent” integrated into Microsoft Teams and powered by Microsoft Azure. The system will combine multiple intelligent sub-agents across departments such as HR, IT, and store operations. By automating tasks and providing smarter, faster insights, the technology is designed to streamline workflow across the global Levi Strauss network.

This development supports Levi Strauss’ ambition to strengthen its direct-to-consumer strategy and become a benchmark in retail innovation. The company expects to begin deployment in early 2026, followed by a global rollout later that year.

Michelle Gass, President & CEO of Levi Strauss & Co., highlighted that AI will play a pivotal role in reimagining how teams work and in enhancing customer engagement. She emphasized that these advancements would contribute to the company’s growth plan toward becoming a $10B retailer while maintaining leadership in agility and operational excellence.

Alongside the AI platform, Levi Strauss has introduced new digital experience tools, including “Outfitting,” a mobile app feature offering personalized styling suggestions. Additionally, its AI-powered in-store assistant, “Stitch,” will expand to 60 U.S. stores after a successful pilot, supporting retail teams with improved efficiency and service.
