
Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, has appointed Naarayan T V as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective August 29, 2025. In this role, he will lead the airline’s marketing, corporate communications, ESG initiatives, customer experience, eCommerce, loyalty programmes, and partnerships, while also serving on Akasa’s Executive Committee, contributing to strategic leadership decisions.
The appointment comes at a pivotal stage in Akasa Air’s expansion, as the airline strengthens its brand and customer proposition with the ambition to be among the world’s top 30 airlines by 2030.
With over 20 years of cross-sector expertise in eCommerce, fintech, banking, direct-to-consumer broking, and global consumer brands, Naarayan is recognised for his digital-first mindset and transformative leadership. His career highlights include leading brand strategy, digital marketing, customer experience design, creative campaigns, sponsorships, and large-scale product launches across industries.

Previously, Naarayan played a key role in brand building at IDFC FIRST Bank, spearheading product launches, sponsorships, and strategic campaigns. At PayPal India, he led the company’s first integrated brand launch and created a merchant acquisition model that achieved a tenfold scale-up in its first year. Recognised among India’s top CMOs, he was awarded the DMA Asia Trail Blazer Award in 2023.
