Ingram Micro has announced the promotion of Sanjib Sahoo to President of its Global Platform Group, underscoring the company’s commitment to customer focus and innovation through its digital experience platform, Xvantage. The move aligns with Ingram Micro’s vision to evolve into the leading business-to-business (B2B) platform company for the global technology ecosystem.

Sahoo, a globally recognized business and digital leader, will spearhead the development and deployment of Xvantage, a patent-pending B2B technology platform designed to streamline collaboration between customers and vendors while driving greater value. Ingram Micro CEO Paul Bay highlighted Sahoo’s strategic expertise and digital innovation, stating that his leadership will accelerate the company’s transformation into a disruptive force within the global technology industry.

Hailing from Kolkata and now a distinguished figure in Silicon Valley, Sahoo has been instrumental in reshaping the digital landscape of global technology distribution. A Harvard Business School alumnus, he has received numerous accolades, including the Bharat Samman Award and the Economic Times’ Global Icon for Technology, reflecting his significant contributions to the industry.

Since joining Ingram Micro in 2021 as Executive Vice President, Global Technology, and Chief Digital Officer, Sahoo has played a pivotal role in the creation of Xvantage. This AI-driven platform enables real-time interactions, data exchange, and actionable insights, simplifying B2B transactions. Currently operational in 16 countries, Xvantage features approximately 29 million lines of code, 20 intelligent engines, and 30 pending patents, revolutionizing the way the tech industry operates.

Sahoo’s expanded role as President of the Global Platform Group will see him overseeing platform strategy, innovation, global growth, and business expansion.
