Pepperfry has welcomed back Alok Varman as the Head of Supply Chain, aiming to solidify its standing in the furniture and home decor market. Alok’s new role focuses on enhancing the supply chain to optimize customer experience, leveraging his extensive expertise and impressive track record to drive Pepperfry’s growth strategy and ensure seamless customer service.
With over 23 years of experience in strategic business management, supply chain optimization, omnichannel business, and customer experience across retail and e-commerce sectors, Alok has significantly contributed to Pepperfry’s growth. He was instrumental in developing the brand’s logistics and warehouse systems, and he spearheaded the expansion of experience stores as part of Pepperfry’s omnichannel strategy.
Before rejoining Pepperfry, Alok served as the COO at Isho.com, a D2C eCommerce furniture startup in Bangladesh. There, he enhanced customer experiences and introduced the brand to the Indian market. His previous roles include VP at Wydr.in, Senior Manager at Carnation Auto India, and Manager at Guthy-Renker LLC.
