IKEA India Names Jessamine Avila as Chief Marketing Officer to Strengthen Brand Growth

IKEA India has announced the appointment of Jessamine Avila as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), reinforcing its leadership team as the global home furnishings retailer accelerates its omnichannel expansion in India.

In her new role, Jessamine will lead IKEA India’s marketing strategy, focusing on strengthening the brand’s relevance while enhancing customer engagement across both physical stores and digital platforms. As part of the company’s Growth and Marketing leadership team, she will play a key role in driving integrated marketing initiatives that support IKEA India’s long-term business objectives.

Jessamine brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, branding, and customer engagement, including over 12 years with IKEA in several international leadership positions. Throughout her tenure, she has held senior marketing roles in Australia before moving to IKEA’s global marketing team in Malmö, Sweden, where she contributed to global brand transformation projects aimed at improving customer relevance and supporting sustainable business growth.

Her appointment comes at an important stage for IKEA India as the retailer continues to expand its footprint and strengthen its omnichannel capabilities across the country. With extensive global expertise and a deep understanding of the IKEA brand, Jessamine is expected to further enhance the company’s brand positioning while delivering seamless and engaging customer experiences across every touchpoint.

Sharing the announcement on LinkedIn, Jessamine described her relocation to India as both an exciting and meaningful milestone.

Reflecting on the move, she said that after an enriching chapter in Sweden, she and her family have relocated to India, where she has taken on the responsibility of leading marketing for the market. She added that India represents a market filled with energy, ambition, and opportunity, and expressed her enthusiasm about contributing to its next phase of growth.
