Udemy, a leading online learning platform, has named Neeracha Taychakhoonavudh as its inaugural Chief Customer Experience Officer (CCO), a move aimed at enhancing its enterprise strategy and deepening global customer engagement.
In her new role, Taychakhoonavudh will be responsible for leading Udemy’s enterprise customer strategy, with a focus on boosting customer adoption, expanding existing relationships, and strengthening retention. She will be reporting directly to Hugo Sarrazin, Udemy’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
As CCO, Taychakhoonavudh will oversee both the Global Customer Success and Customer Operations teams, guiding initiatives that align with the evolving needs of Udemy’s worldwide client base. She brings a wealth of experience in customer success leadership, having most recently served as Chief Customer Officer at Asana, a U.S.-based software company. Her impressive career also includes a 14-year tenure at Salesforce, where she held various leadership roles, including Executive Vice President of Global Customer Success.
Her appointment comes at a strategic time for Udemy. The company recently disclosed a downturn in its consumer business in its 2024 financial report, noting a 3% year-over-year drop in monthly average buyers and a 5% decline in consumer revenue.
Commenting on her new position, Taychakhoonavudh said, “I’ve implemented AI-driven tools that enhance customer experiences through personalized journeys. I’m excited to bring this innovation to the skills development space, supporting both individual learners and enterprises. As the nature of work rapidly evolves, Udemy’s AI-enhanced platform is well-positioned to help global companies rethink workforce planning for the modern era.”
Sarrazin praised her appointment, stating, “Neeracha brings unmatched expertise in customer experience, a global perspective, and a track record of scaling strategic programs that deliver meaningful business outcomes. Her leadership will be critical as we refine our engagement model, strengthen customer loyalty, and accelerate sustainable growth within Udemy Business.”
Following Hugo Sarrazin’s recent appointment as Udemy’s president and CEO, this leadership announcement was made. Former UKG employee Sarrazin is currently a member of the company’s board of directors.
