Kyndryl India has promoted Balamurali Debur to the position of Vice President – Marketing and Customer Experience. This dual-role appointment signals a deeper commitment to integrating marketing efforts with customer-centric strategies.
Popularly known as Bala, he joined Kyndryl in 2021 following a 15-year tenure at IBM, where he held senior positions across IBM Services and IBM Consulting, working in both India and Singapore. His professional journey began in the advertising world, where he led high-impact campaigns at top agencies like Lintas and Mudra Communications for clients such as Britannia, Indya.com, and Godrej Consumer Products.
This marks the first time Kyndryl India has assigned the Customer Experience (CX) mandate to a marketing leader — a move reflecting the growing importance of CX in B2B enterprises. Bala will now spearhead initiatives focused on enhancing customer satisfaction, improving service delivery, and driving long-term client engagement.
A senior insider confirmed to ETBrandEquity that this new structure aligns with Kyndryl India’s broader objective of transforming its customer engagement models in an increasingly competitive technology landscape.
Established in 2021 as a spin-off from IBM, Kyndryl operates as an independent IT services provider, focusing on building and modernising critical infrastructure for large enterprises. The company plays a pivotal role in areas such as cloud transformation, cybersecurity, network operations, and mainframe modernisation.
