Sapphire Foods India has announced a major leadership transition, appointing Vikrant Vohra as President and Chief Executive Officer of its KFC business. The move is part of a broader management restructuring aimed at strengthening leadership across the company’s quick-service restaurant (QSR) portfolio and driving future growth.
Vohra, who currently serves as Executive Vice President and CEO of Sapphire Foods’ Pizza Hut business, will take over the KFC leadership role on July 25, 2026. He will continue to remain a key member of the company’s senior management team while leading one of India’s largest KFC franchise operations.
The appointment follows the departure of Deepak Taluja, who will step down as President and CEO of the KFC business on July 24, 2026, after completing his notice period.
Experienced Hospitality Leader Takes Charge
With nearly two decades of experience in hospitality and restaurant operations, Vikrant Vohra brings a strong blend of strategic leadership and operational expertise. Before joining Sapphire Foods, he held leadership positions with renowned hospitality brands including The Park Hotels, Hyatt, Taj Hotels, and Marriott International.
During his tenure at Sapphire Foods, Vohra successfully managed multiple KFC markets across Karnataka, Kerala, and Western India before taking charge of the Pizza Hut business. His extensive experience across both flagship brands positions him well to lead KFC’s next phase of growth and operational excellence.
Leadership Changes Extend to Pizza Hut Business
As part of the wider organizational restructuring, Sapphire Foods has also promoted Saurabh Girdhar to Assistant Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Pizza Hut business, effective July 25, 2026.
Girdhar currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for Pizza Hut operations across Bangalore and Kerala. With more than 17 years of experience in the quick-service restaurant industry, he has previously worked with leading food service companies including Yum India and Devyani International.
