Exotel has announced a series of strategic leadership appointments as the company intensifies its focus on expanding AI-powered customer experience solutions globally. The move follows Exotel’s recent acqui-hire of the core team from Dubverse and reflects the company’s commitment to scaling its AI-first customer engagement capabilities across industries.
The announcement comes ahead of Exotel’s flagship EngageX event, where enterprise leaders from banking, telecom, aviation, and financial services are expected to explore the evolving landscape of AI-led customer engagement.

As part of the leadership reshuffle, Rohan Shanbagh has been elevated to Chief Operating Officer, while Sanjeeth R joins the company as Chief Product Officer. Additionally, Ananda Kumar has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, and Sumithra Sivaramakrishnan has been elevated to Head of People and Culture.
Commenting on the leadership expansion, Shivakumar Ganesan said that AI is already operating at production scale across customer experience ecosystems, managing millions of interactions through voice and digital channels. He added that the company is now focused on building reliable, trusted, and deeply integrated AI systems that work seamlessly alongside human teams.

In his expanded role as COO, Rohan Shanbagh will lead operational strategy and execution as Exotel focuses on improving efficiency, profitability, and scalable growth.
Meanwhile, Chief Product Officer Sanjeeth R will spearhead Exotel’s AI-first product vision by integrating Voice AI, CCaaS, and CPaaS capabilities into a unified customer engagement platform designed for the emerging agentic AI era.
New CFO Ananda Kumar brings extensive expertise in finance transformation and technology-led operational strategy. Exotel believes his leadership will play a key role in shaping future-ready AI business models as the company expands its enterprise footprint.
On the people and culture front, Sumithra Sivaramakrishnan will lead organisational development, leadership growth, and culture-building initiatives aimed at strengthening collaboration and employee empowerment across teams.
